BICHON FRISE BREED

The AKC Standard of the Bichon Frise Breed is a non-sporting group. The general appearance of the Bichon is a small, white, sturdy, gay, powder puff of a dog who's actions are clearly stated by his/her tails carried securely over their backs and his dark-eyed inquisitive expression. The Bichon is a non-shedding hypoallergenic dog which is a huge plus for people with allergies. The Bichon Frise's coat is very important. The undercoat is soft and the outer coat is of a slightly curlier and courser feel. The Bichons color is white but can have, or exceed 10 % of cream, biscuit, buff or apricot around the body. The basic personality of the Bichon is a very gentle sensitive, playful and an awesome attitude for anyone looking for a great companion. If you would like to know more about the Bichon Frise breed, you can read all of the Bichon breed standards thru the American Kennel Club.

MALTESE BREED

The AKC Standard of the Maltese Breed is it's in the toy breed, standing with a mantle of long, silky, white hair that covers the dog from head to toe. The Maltese is gentle and affectionate but also needs the attention from a satisfactory companion. The weight should be under 7 pounds. 4 to 6 pounds are preferred. This little dog should have a black nose and an edge to edge bite. Maltese's have a single coat that hangs along and flat down the sides of the dog touching or almost touching the ground. When the hair has grown enough, putting the dogs hair up in topknots, is what separates the Maltese breed from the others. A little spoiled rotten dog is what you end up with in this breed. But never under estimate the Maltese. Their temperament seems to be without fear.
